This evening I did yoga before I’m doing my daily trading. I’m not yet a professional trader but I’m working on it. It’s my goal to become a professional trader and a coach for female starters on the trading market.
So after the yoga-class, I was in a relaxed mood and mindful. That means that I’m aware of what I’m doing, how I feel and what my emotions are.
I’m a daytrader, and at the end of the day, around 9.00 pm in my timezone, I’ll sit behind my laptop looking at the charts. In stead of feeling tired at the end of the day, I had a lot of energy. So much that I write this blog about it.
I could keep focused, my concentration was good, and where I normally get distracted of emails and other messages from social media who popped up at my screen, I could work trough. My watchlist was viewed from front to rear, if also the blogs and recaps of traders I follow. I’m using Twitter and Facebook for that.
I really enjoyed trading so much this evening! I always enjoy trading but this time it was different .
I don’t want to say that you have to practice yoga all day before you starting to trade. Although yoga is good for your body and your mind. I want to make clear that when you’re doing something you get relaxed of before you going to trade, you automatically are in the right mindset of trading. Relaxed and neutral. Relaxed to relativize, neutral to make new setups and trades and to cancel pre-orders or setups you made. Because trading with emotions is not going to bring you happiness and pleasure.
This was my first blog of tradingpsychology. My goal is to write more blogs about the mindset and the psychology of a forextrader. 19 november 2013
